Remove the Old Cover

Option A — Remove it: Flip the table section over and cut away the old vinyl just inside the staple line using scissors. Pull the cover free — no need to remove every staple.

Option B — Cover it: Simply lay the new cover over the existing one. Quick and effective in most cases.

Pro Tip: If covering over the old vinyl, trim out any damaged or sunken foam areas first for a smoother result.

Position the New Cover

Lay the new vinyl cover face-down on a flat surface. Center the table cushion on top. Pull the vinyl snugly over each side — longest edges first, then the shorter ends. Confirm equal overhang on all sides before you begin stapling.

Secure the Cover

Using a staple gun, fasten the vinyl to the underside of the table board. Pull the vinyl firmly as you go to eliminate wrinkles. Work from the center outward on each side, and fold the corners neatly — like wrapping a gift — before stapling them flat.

Reinstall the Table Section

Flip the cushion back over and reinstall it onto the exam table frame. Press firmly to snap or slide it into place. Wipe down the new vinyl with a clean cloth — your table is ready for use.
