Golf Cart Seat Cover Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install your golf cart vinyl seat cover in minutes.

Staple Guns You Can Use

You'll Need

Heavy-duty staple gun • 1/4" T50 staples

1. Remove the Seat Cushion

On most golf carts, the seat cushion is secured with screws or bolts underneath. Remove these before installing your new cover. If you're unsure, look underneath the seat — it's usually obvious once you flip it over.

2. Dry Fit First

Your cover ships inside out by design. Lay it over the seat without stapling and confirm the fit. Do not cut or staple until you are satisfied with the dry fit.

3. Check the Old Cover

Good condition? Leave it. Install right over it.
Cracked, torn, or rough? Cut it off on the inside of the staples. It lifts right off.

4. Center the Cover

Once satisfied with the fit, center the cover with equal overhang on all sides.

5. Fold the Corners

Fold each corner underneath. Clean fold, no bunching.

6. Staple

Center of each side first. Pull taut. Staple every 1–2". Work to the corners.

7. Trim & Reinstall

Trim excess vinyl. Reinstall the seat cushion onto the cart.
